Role

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the PLC software and HMI’s. FononTech uses Beckhoff PLC’s which integrate all motion, vision, IO and HMI/user interface. You will work closely together with the entire core engineering team for seamless integration of all mechanical, mechatronic, electrical and software systems. Our work environment  allows for flexible and high-paced development, with a proto-workshop (including 4-axis milling machine) and tools to enable iterating machine concepts in days instead of months.

-          5+ years of demonstrable experience designing and building high tech equipment

-          Highly effective in programming with experience in Beckhoff Twincat

-          Plan, conceptualize and realization of PLC software

-          Proficiency in the English language

-          Experience with version control systems (Git) is an asset

-          Experience with motion and drives is an asset

-          Experience with electrical installation and design is an asset

-          Proficiency in Dutch is an asset

-          Preferred familiarity with printing and lithography systems/equipment
